amazon ec2 - Why can't I launch the Java SSH Client from the AWS Management Console? -

In the AWS Management console, I select an EC2 frequency and then I click "Connect" from the Instance Action menu. I am I see the following popup window:

Instead of the field, I should generally see, I get the above message about enabling Java in my browser. But in my browser Java is enabled I tested it to confirm that I am running Java SE 6 update 24.

I am using Google Chrome v20.0 on the Linux Mint 13 64 bit. I also tried with Firefox and the results are the same I can use the Java SSH client without any problems from my Windows box, so this can be a Linux-specific problem.

Use Firefox or Safari, it works fine.
