html - javascript to get page number to add to href in anchor tag -

I am using the contour to create a website. Within Kentucky I am using a repeater to create various pages. I have your site set to display 6 or more thumbnails and if you click on the thumbnail from the main page that takes you to the related subpage, how do I set it, a global variable i and adding 1 to i after each thumbnail load. This works right, so we can concentrate on the syntax for the link. I want to do something like URL to page.com/page/subpage?1 , where number 1 variable i is I do not quite know how this (Javascript) Is there any way to do this to include in the href declaration?

I tried: & lt; A href = "/ subpage? Page = & lt; script & gt; type = 'text / javascript' & gt; document .write (i); " & gt; I tried to see it but did not get any information to help me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can not place a script tag between any tags. Instead, use the script to write the whole anchor tag. See for an irreversible quotation.
