Is it safe to handle requests directly by jetty or tomcat? Or can the only reverse proxy (like nginx) be prevented (abuse can move on slow data etc.)?
PS: ofcouse I serve the static content with nginx =)
yes Both Jetties or Tomcat are safe to highlight in the world at large, which requires Apache to be deployed in front of them, which had vanished before the first year.
It is being said that you still need to configure any container to design your application and handle scale, to prevent abuse.
Jetty is used in many places, in the case of production,
Hex, JT also runs well on Android phones
