coldfusion - Using ffmpeg to get video info - why do I need to specify an output file? -

I am using ffmpeg to get information about a video file and I do not have information in a file I want to save. Ffmpeg is returning all the video information, but it is returning as an error because I am not specifying the output file The order I am using is:

ffmpeg -i : \ Test \ 3FA8D0E6-BD61-D160-98BB41304D63FAE3.mp4

The error I get is "at least one output file"

I call it & lt; Cfexecute & gt; Calling in coldfusion using , and the output is being stored in the local variable, which is why I do not want to specify the file ... to store it in a file is not needed.

If there is a difference in it, then I'm running it on Windows.

  This is giving an error because FFmpeg needs to specify an output file about the file Using it to get information is not to use it.  
 Option 1:  Ignore the error.  The FFmpeg file prints first information, so you can simply get the information you need and disregard the error.  
 Option 2:  Use instead.  FFprobe is another tool that is usually packaged with FFmpeg, which is designed to get information about media files. It can easily output information in a variety of parsed formats so you do not need to parse FFMPEG output.
